Volunteers Needed!

Helping Hand & Paw

Join our life-saving team and

make a difference in the lives

of animals who need your help!

There are many volunteer needs at the Fluvanna SPCA.  It takes a community to provide top notch care and find loving homes for all the lost, injured, and sick homeless animals that find their way to the FSPCA.

Whether you have 5 hrs. a week or 5 hrs. a month to commit, please consider starting out the new year by volunteering to help shelter animals.  For more info, visit our volunteer page, call (434) 591-0123, or visit the shelter in-person between noon and 5pm, Wed.-Sun.  We look forward to seeing you!

The Pawsibilities Are Endless

2011-2012 Annual Campaign  *  Goal:  $100,000

View campaign progress

In October 2010, we kicked off our first annual campaign with the goal of raising $65,000 to help fund the costs of caring for our four-legged residents.  We are thrilled to announce that we met our goal!  In fact, we exceeded it by 20 percent!  And we couldn’t have done it without your generosity.

We have received donations from so many sources— in memory of/in honor of family members and pets, in lieu of wedding presents, lemonade stands held by children, and corporate matching programs. Your donations helped us feed and treat the almost 1,100 animals who came into our care during the campaign, including Maverick and Jack.  Read more.

In 2011, we have seen a 50% increase in the number of animal intakes so we are relying more than ever on donations to ensure we can provide adequate medical care and spay/neuter services to make these animals adoptable.

We are excited to announce the official start of our 2011-2012 Annual Campaign, running now through September 30, 2012. Help us achieve our goal of $100,000 with your continued support and generosity!
